-.-
OK, I know I am on hiatus, I am supposed to be, but idc I'll just lose a few marks in my exams posting this post. (won't people want that! people to lose marks so that they can rank abit higher)

Rules, rules rules.
Yesterday I was rushing to Lang Arts class. Then two teachers (Alias: DShort and PTall) were walking up the staircase. I didn't take much heed and continued on my way to class.

When I was about 20m away from them, someone was calling out: "Girl, girl.."
Of course, "girl" was not my name so I continued walking.

And then came more "Girl, girl, girl, gir...."
Annoyed, I turned around to identify the source of the siren but it turned out to be DShort calling me.

Then she motioned towards me and said "Come here, girl!"
I was very irritated because 1) I was late for class 2) I have a quota to the amount of "Girl"s I can hear within one minute.

Thinking she had something to say to me, I went to her.
And what did she say?

"Do you know why I called you here, girl?"

WTF?
YOU CALL ME HERE AND WANT ME TO PLAY A GUESSING GAME?? WALAU I ALREADY LATE FOR CLASS, WHAT IS WITH THIS KIND OF PEOPLE? LOVE TO WASTE TIME? WANT TO SCOLD, SCOLD DIRECTLY, PLAY GAME FOR WHAT?

I was puzzled and irritated. I looked at her quizzically. "I dont know." I said.

"You don't know?" I can't remember, but I reckon her lips twisted into a nasty smile.

My irritation level shot up like 50% so I said "I have class, can you please tell me directly?"

"No, I can't do that. Why do you think I called you here?"

WTF? OK, I really hate this kind of people. I think if you have something to say to someone, and you call someone out and waste her time, you shouldn't be wasting more of her time. They are really disgusting.

So I thought for awhile.
And awhile.

Then I realised I was .....

....
...

....

OMG, I WAS WEARING A COLOURED HAIRBAND!!!!! D:
A perfect reason for wasting my time!! D: D:

I feel that this is so justified!!
I must have murdered lots of people while wearing it.

So I asked, "Oh! Is it because of my hairband? OK, I will remove it now."
I rushed to the nearby table to put down my pile of books then I removed my offensive hairband.

And that didnt solve it.
Next, she said...

"So...What else do you think is wrong?"

WHAT!?!++!!!-
CAN'T YOU JUST FUCKING TELL ME??!!
I ALREADY ANSWERED ONE QUESTION AND ENTERTAINED YOU ONCE!!!!

Anyway I looked at myself and realised..
..

..realised...
...

...

.
OMFG, I WAS WEARING AN EVERLAST (aka non school) JACKET!

Sob! How many people I must have killed as I wore it! :'(
How saintly of her to stop me! ;(

I asked "Is it my jacket?"

"Yes. Take it off."

OK, DShort just asked me to take off my clothes jacket in front of PTall, who is male. I don't see anything wrong with it because I am not super conservative but I know some people who mind taking off clothing in front of the opposite sex.

Anyway, I have been wearing coloured hairbands and non-school jackets like every other day. So it had become so much of a normality that i forgot that I'm *gasp* breaking the school rules.

I took off my jacket.

"See? You know it's against the rules and STILL you break them. Give them to me." she said.

I was very late for my class so I said "OK!" and i hurriedly passed my jacket and hairband to her.
She took it and I asked "How do I get them back?"
Then she said "I'll pass them to the level director (aka. James Tan) and he'll deal with you."

Thinking that she'd had her fair share of entertainment, and remembering my class, I nodded and said "THANK YOU! (for confiscating my things!!) SORRY!" and ran off for class, leaving her and Ptall standing there.

Of course, the queen wasn't satisfied.
She called back "GIRL? COME BACK."
So I went back.

(notice usage of the word "We" when it was just her talking. PT was silent as a tree)
"We aren't done with you yet. We haven't even dismissed you."

I said "Is there anything else? Cos I'm late for class and I have to rush off."

Her (frowns): That's not right.

WHAT? Who are you to decide what's right and what's wrong? There's something called respect for the other teacher who is teaching my class that I'm already late for. First, you play games with me. Fine, I entertain you. Then you confiscate my things. Fine, I let you, it's ok I can waste more time and get it back. If you want to discipline me, can you think about my teacher who will be pissed off because a late student barged into her ongoing class? Really, must everything be done your way for you to deem it right?

I said "OK."

Her: You're giving us the impression that you're impatient, and irritated at us, and that you don't think that what we're doing now is important. You know? Perception versus reality?

Fuck yes! Spot on. I am irritated at you. I don't even need to explain why. Not because you caught me breaking the rules (people do that almost everyday). But because you waste my time. You impose your way of doing things on me. I like things being told directly at my face, I don't like playing games when I have something important going on.

I am impatient. Not because I have a meeting with my boyfriend right after this. It's because I have another teacher's class. I feel that her class is more important than entertaining you.

Her: You think that we enjoy catching you and confiscating your things?

Yes.

Her: There is something about your body language and facial expression that is vad. You are still young, not even halfway thru life. If you go for a job interview, you're not going to pass it if you show that kind of attitude.

Common sense: Am I going to be irritated/impatient at my future boss?
I WILL respect and FEAR my future boss. Of course I will be EXTREMELY polite to him. After all, he is going to FEED me and PAY me. I will want to IMPRESS him and make him proud of me. Pleasing him will be my TOP priority and nothing will be more important. Cos I'm going to die if I'm fired. My boss deserves all my respect.

And as for her? She doesn't pay me. My life doesn't depend on her. I pay the school, school doesn't pay me. She is not even my teacher, she is a stranger. I don't know her. She has done nothing except single me out and lecture me and waste my time. So even if I try, I can't bring myself to fear her or feel any respect.

And if she can't even respect that i dislike wasting time, why should I do the same?

The above are my honest feelings. It may feel wrong to you. Feel free to tell me why I should be polite to her on my tagboard cos I tried and I can't find any reasons. I know I am supposed to put on a scared/sorry expression and apologise profusely but I am not a common Nanyang girl who can't break the rules to save her life. I believe i can do anything as long as I don't hurt or harm anyone. So breaking school rules has become part of everyday life, and I am beyond salvation.

Aiya, anyway, I forgot what happened after that but I called my dad up.
I said "Papa if you can, can come to school and retrieve my jacket? This teacher took it from me."

And my papa came all the way to school from work and we stood outside the staffroom. We waited for james tan for 10+ minutes until he finally showed himself with my jacket and hairband.

Then my dad asked for it back and james tan said "Sit down" (even though my dad didnt want to cos he had a meeting 10 mins later...but dad didnt protest).

James Tan gave me a lecture.
He mentioned the "animal hair tie" that I wear to purposely annoy teachers. Hehe! Doesn't it have the annoying "HHAHAHA LOOK I'M BREAKING THE RULES" look!

Essentially he said "Stop breaking school rules or you'll get demerit points and your dad has to come down to school again"

And that really scared me because I think my papa is really a poor thing. He's damn tired and all and still has to tolerate all kinds of bullshit and I don't want to waste his time because I decide to be annoying and break a few rules.

So I shall start being a normal Nanyang girl and wear BLACK hairbands and the school jacket. So that I won't get demerit points and so that my poor dad doesn't have to waste his time. I've found a reason NOT to break the school rules and I'm happy, james tan is happy, everybody is happy.

Besides I'm leaving the school soon so why should i bring trouble to myself? And face it, I am wrong to wear weird stuff cos its against the rules.

Silicon valley!
Hahahha what's wrong with damien yam?? Yesterday he seemed very happy about our US trip even though he wasn't going for it.

I always thought he was a grumpy potato who will send angry "STOP PLAYING GAMES ON THE SCHOOL COMPUTER" messages, but yesterday he was in a SUPER good mood. He even recognized me when I saw him and said "Hi".

Was I dreaming or what? I mean he should be super pissed that last year I spent 7 hours of school internet daily to play neopets!

Anyone knows what happened? Is he possessed?

****

Haha, turns out that my Chinese teacher wrote cards for everyone in class. It makes me feel less special but I think that's good, because I'm not that pressurized to do well for chinese anymore :) But I still think she's a good teacher and I respect her.
