I got stood up.
I was stood up for 4 hours today.
My hamster, Mochi, died yesterday.
My brother and I went to bury him under an ixora bush. He lived a pretty good life so I have no regrets. His last meal was a strawberry.
So, I wanted to donate his cage and items.
I put the cage and accessories up on Carousell as a giveaway, wanting to give it to someone in need. I wrote that I would give it to whoever promises to take care of their hamster.
Immediately I got tons of messages asking me "When can I collect this?" "Hi is this still available?" "I want this. I stay at Boon Lay only". SOME OF THEM WERE SELLING HAMSTER ACCESSORIES ON THEIR PAGE!!. Omfg!!!! The nerve of resellers...
I couldn't believe how entitled some people were. Here I was giving away $100 worth of stuff for free, and people wanted me to TRAVEL TO THEM to give it to them??!!
I blocked all of them and edited my description, telling people not to message me if they are not going to give me a reason to want to give them the items.
Then, I got this message.
Seems legit right? He even made a post asking for help a few days back!
I immediately agreed to this kind soul and packed as much food and bedding to pass it to him the next day at 2pm.
I carried the cage + as much food and bedding as possible to the station. It was so heavy, my arms were shaking (I need to lift lol) Then, I messaged him asking him for his arrival time.
No response.
So I waited.
I brought work to do, because he said *around* 2pm so I thought maybe waiting an hour wouldn't hurt.
I waited for 4 hours, sending him messages every hour to let him know I was still waiting. Begging him to please call me because everything was too heavy for me to bring back.
No bloody response.
I was so angry. I don't know why I was so foolish to wait so long. Halfway through, I wanted to give up and go home. But I toiled and sweated to carry everything there. And I thought about his poor homeless hungry hamster and wanted to help it. Even if the owner was an asshole, I had to help the hamster.
Then, when I finally gave up, I tried to leave him a negative review. When I went to his reviews page,

I FOUND OUT HE HAD ALREADY TAKEN A CAGE FROM SOMEONE ELSE YESTERDAY.
He messaged me asking me for my items and hamster food. Arranged to meet with me. When he had already taken things from another.
He had
SO MANY chances to tell me that he didn't need my things anymore.
Instead, he made me carry the things there and ditched me.
I felt very upset and betrayed. I felt stupid. I was crying to my boyfriend I couldn't believe how I got fooled like this. I could have given it to someone else who needed it. I didn't deserve anything for him to do that to me.
Worst part was, since the item was free, technically there was no transaction and I could not leave a review. But I talked to my friend who works there, and she said she would help me post one. I guess that is the most I can do.
Other than that, I won't be trusting people so easily again.

I had to give up
AFA this year to do my FYP and study for my finals. I felt sad seeing my friends post photos of their ~*amazing time*~ at AFA. :( But it's okay, I will try to go next year.

Studying for my
GREs and
TOEFL (which cost me $600 to register what the fuck). I feel so angry that I have to take the TOEFL so that I can prove to Americans that I'm proficient in MY NATIVE LANGUAGE. Ya ok lah we is asian country so our engrish cannot make it right
GREs is tough as balls. Omg. The first paper I took, I barely passed. I mean, who uses obscure words like "
boosterish" and "
parvenu" and "
unpropitious"?!
I've got a ton of things to do in 3 weeks, before I fly off to San Francisco for a week. One of the more pertinent things being sending my mom to IMH.

The only thing that pisses me off is the woman at the stall always stops me from getting my
student discount!! She says no discount for ala carte items. That's bullshit!! I HAVE ALWAYS PAID $2.60 FOR MY PRATA. ಠ益ಠ
