I am Musho / Xinni and I am an artist, designer and programmer. I'm a Singaporean living in California as a designer at Google. I blog about my
art, music, shows, games, beauty stuff, school and a lot of personal events in my life. You will feel awkward reading this if you know me.
I wrote about my therapist's advice to focus more on positive thoughts. Obviously easier said than done. Practicing gratefulness helps, so I wrote down about ~20 things I'm grateful for or am proud of. I'll have a drawing for each of them! I'll slowly post all of them here; though it might take years, I'm not going to get anywhere if I don't start :)

Things I'm grateful for
#1 - My Partner
Recently, my partner and I celebrated our 5 years anniversary!
I'm grateful to have a best friend who understands what I'm going through no matter what, and buys me daily milk tea. A best friend who is also my biggest fan, gaming/netflix partner, food adventurer, cat parent and cuddle buddy.
Future plans:
If we have a wedding, we will make everybody sit on bean bags, drink milk tea and watch Parks N Rec.
For our retirement, I will run an art cafe while he cooks zi char next door.
We should also start figuring out our investment asset allocations and retirement plans.......

My bf was talking to this girl on the phone a lot. I called him out on it, he said the girl was just lonely and needed company. So I let it slide. Then one day I saw that his phone wallpaper was no longer me - it was another girl I dislike!! WTF! I confronted him and he said "well, her smile was calming!" I was so devastated and didn't know if I should break up...
Then I woke up and saw actual bf sleeping soundly.
I tried to go back to sleep to re-enter the dream and break up with the cheating asshole version of him, but failed.

Photos are easy to insert into Blogger because I just click the "Image" icon and it fetches the photos I took with my phone.

When I listened to them, I was transported back to my high school days. And somehow I felt everything would be alright. The sound amazing live, given how complex their songs are. And Jonas' voice just floats my worries away. L..like a melancholic angelic kitten ascending to heaven

I just need to work out life's priorities and juggle a full time job into the equation. I like my job a lot, and if I stopped stressing myself out, I would enjoy life a lot more. Maybe it would ease my mind and I'd pay less attention to myself and more on others.
I'm headed to Vienna and Budapest in October (my first time in Europe omg!!)

I cut my hair... My hairdressers were fucking mean. (I was about to leave earlier on, when they told me haircut is $20, but they somehow persuaded me to sit down and get my hair cut there)
Hairdresser 1: (in chinese) Where did she dye her hair? Hairdresser 2: (to me) Which salon did you go to dye your hair? Me: I did it myself.. Hairdresser 2: Where did you get the dye? Me: Online.. Hairdresser 2: (To HD1, in chinese) She dyed herself. Hairdresser 1:(scoffs in chinese) Yeah, it's so easy to tell when they do it themselves. Hairdresser 2: *laughs* Yeah, if she can dye her hair, she can definitely afford the haircut here.
WTF man.. badmouthing your customer when they are getting their hair cut by you. Hello, even though my spoken chinese sucks, I AM Chinese after all you know?!! What made them think I couldn't understand what they were saying /facepalm
And also $20 can buy me enough dye to last me a YEAR of dyeing you uneducated goose penises

It's been one year since my bf and I got together! Technically, our official anniversary would be in July haha. We started hanging out in May after my car accident but I was in a difficult time (broke up with the ex in April) but he waited patiently, stuck with me through it all and never made that into a problem, which explains how our relationship is so stable. He trusted me and was sure about me from the beginning. I'm so grateful for that. He's my pillar of support.
I thought things normally fade after a year but I love him more and more each day. This relationship feels perfect and stable and is probably the only part of my life that I am content with.

I'm a little glad to say I might have found my passion in the coding side... coding user interfacesI coded the interface using QT for the first time and it was fun! To be honest, I thought I was just going to do the graphics and let others do the coding, but I did not!!! I wrote about 3000 lines of code for the project. I can proudly call myself a programmer now...
Our prof said we're ahead of the pack and we are the group that put the most thought into the software so far! And our CS2101 prof also said we had the best dev guide of the cohort! I am proud of my team.

Now young dreams was super cool because I won free tickets and a supper with them so yeapppp omg I had supper with a band!!!
I made them this because I felt like i didn't deserve to win la omg I'm so loser and boring I was scared I couldn't talk to them but in the end they were so nice and easygoing and we talked about cats and our countries and education WHOA it was amazing.
