Sorry for the lack of updates ;_;
I am just so burned out. I've never worked so hard before in one semester.
My school results will be out tomorrow, so I can post module reviews (and make public the negative ones) soon! However, my new semester resources are already up in onedrive!!

Other than that, I don't have much to say.
All I've been doing is slogging on personal projects!(see below)

I'm posting from Toronto, Canada now.
But I don't want to talk much about travel because I think it's boring to listen to people talk about travel. I'll post up some photos later to bore you anyway.

The past semester
This is the summary of my crazy past semester:


Once AFA ended, I rushed to Changi Airport to board a plane to Pittsburgh, USA to meet bf.

MY FIRST TIME BOOTHING @ AFA was crazy but awesome!




I sold badges, acrylic charms and a Pokemon pencilcase!
Before the event started, I saw some of our printed goods for the first time. Quality was terrible and THE COLORS LOOKED SO WASHED OUT! :( I was worried and sad. But luckily, sales still went great!

I couldn't even do commissions. It was all standing up, shouting through the noise in the crowd to customers, grabbing merchandise, giving change, and attending to the next buyer. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT SITTING. I developed severe body aches and sore throat after the first day because we had to stand for 10 hours straight selling our stuff QAQ

Because of my poor Doujima sales (I had over HALF of my badges left over!!), I did not expect to sell much badges. So, I sold out of some badge designs because I didn't make enough. I have to thank Nicole, my darling boothmate, who helped to take over while I rushed to another Suntec tower to print more. ARHG! I feel so bad still.

Having to sacrifice my finals (omg grades... please don't die tmr) to draw for AFA was bad enough, although I don't regret it one bit!

What was worse was going home after standing for 12 hours and HAVING TO SACRIFICE SLEEP TO MAKE MORE BADGES BECAUSE I UNDERPREDICTED SALES.

To stay up making badges, I slept only 2 hours on the first day, 3 hours on the second day.
I've never felt more stressed. Can you imagine having to stand and shout and interact with customers for 10 hours straight, after only having 2 hours of sleep?!! MOtheRFUCK!!!!

I have to thank my brother who made most of my badges. And nic for lending me her badge parts because I didn't even buy enough.

I predict this is what will happen for the next AFAs, because no one can predict this shit!

Last but not least, I thought I needed to be a popular doujin name to sell stuff. I was worried because I wasn't well known and it was my first time. That wasn't true. The most important thing is to pick the right anime and have decent-ish art! People don't care how famous you are. I don't even care how many likes or faves or views my art gets now. Fuck that! People bought my stuff; I can't be that terrible!!

Despite all the stress, this event was simply amazing. Every time someone wanted to buy something I drew, I felt warm and fuzzy inside. I saw people use my badges and secretly took photos because I was so touched.


I made friends at AFA too, and grew closer to my boothmates! Earlier this year, I wanted to participate in these events to force myself to draw. I was so afraid that I would make losses, and that I would be looked down on and ostracised by other artists because I was new to this thing and no one would be friends with me.

But I was wrong. The people there are all really friendly and helpful! Lots of people came to bring food and chocolate and talk and exchange goods and even the boother next door was friendly and we exchanged some conversations about where we were from/what we did!

Watched the finale of Legend of Korra.
Wow. Just wow.

First of all, the main character is female and the show isn't a chickflick/about men. IS YOU KNOW HOW RARE IS I????????? Secondly, the villain, and conqueror, is also female. NAME ANOTHER SHOW WITH A FEMALE CONQUEROR || WORLD DICTATOR. I can't think of any.

The finale fight between both of them tho. JUST NAME A SHOW THAT HAS TWO FEMALES BATTLING IN THE SHOW'S MAIN ARC, THAT ISN"T LIKE A CATFIGHT OVER A MAN BUT IS ACTUALLY ABOUT TAKNG OVER WORLD.

Can u? I can name many male hero-vs-male villain final battles, maybe a few male vs female. THIS IS THE ONLY FEMALE VS FEMALE! I have!! SEEN!!!

LGBTQ friendly! No sexualisation but manages to have hot characters!

I am so glad I stuck with the shitty first two seasons to see Korra blossom into the fine young powerful lady who changed the world so much :')

akame ga kill
killing main characters
finally gave in and began reading Akame Ga Kill!

Game of thrones is nothing compared to this.
Everybody's harping about how ned stark is a main character and dies but I really don't think it's a big deal to kill someone off in the first season...
Plus I don't think GOT really has a main character.

If you want to experience the pain of your most loved characters die after many seasons, you could watch Downtown Abbey or Dexter.

Animes I personally like
1. Attack on titan
-pros: spectacular mindblowing plot, much feels, never sexualizes its female characters, brilliant animation, great character development
-cons: main character is an annoying shit for the first two or three episodes JUST GET THROUGH IT + heard the fandom is annoying

2. No game no life
-pros: pretty nice plot, lovely art, follow the lives of two video game geniuses
-cons: sexualization of an 11 year old

3. Akame ga kill
-pros: interesting premise, dynamic and loveable characters, much feels, i appreciate the abundance of strong female characters without the presence of a harem
-cons: gore, torture, rape, main characters dying off very fast

I started forcing myself to watch anime so I can draw them for doujin events, but now I'm quite happy I found these.
I also realized I like all the moe girls lololol

  • I know I get upset about death sometimes but I try to remind myself that I am glad how things turned out. I have great friends, a comfy bed and a wonderful boyfriend who showers me with more love and attention than I deserve.
  • I have started my refresher driving courses to overcome my fear of driving. And also to refresh my memory of course. Today was my first lesson - my vertical parking remains flawless. LOL.
  • I have bought my luggage case for my trip to Shenzhen to be with bf

  • I found a home - near my relatives too! So it's safer for me. And super near my favourite avocado milkshake store. Now to pack up and move.

what's happening?
Today, I was approached by a man while walking towards an MRT station.
He said he's a fashion student and he wants to take photos of people's outfits, and that it would only take 1-2 mins.

In his hand he held an iPhone.
Ok... iPhone to take photo for project.. yao mo gao chor...

So I pointed at my face and clothes and was like "You want a photo of.. this?"

To which he replied "Don't worry, we won't show your face. It's a casual fashion project. You're dressed casually right?"

So I let him take a photo of my dress at the MRT station.
Then he showed the pic to me and asked "Actually, can you do a pose? Can I include your face this time?"

So I said "Sorry can you ask someone else, I really have to go, I'm late for my lesson." Which was actually true. I was running late.
Then I ran. the. fuck. away.

I told my boyfriend and he was convinced this guy was a pervert.

IF he was, this would have been the THIRD time I was sexually harassed this year.

  • A few months ago, I was sitting in the bus, and a lot of workers got onto it. Then I felt a hand run up and down my waist. And another touching my shoulder. I flinched away. 
  •  And, just a few weeks ago, it was late at night and I was at a bus stop. Suddenly from behind me this man appeared with his cock in his hand, furiously masturbating. I immediately called my boyfriend and he ran away.

From that day onwards, I made my boyfriend call me every night to see that I was safe at home. And I made sure I never went to deserted bus stops again.

I don't feel safe!!

Went to the website of the shop I got derpy from (link here). Look at their photos of their hamsters! (๑>ᴗ<๑) They look so much cuter than hamsters from other stores. I miss derpy so much, but I don't think I'll ever see her again.



I returned the rats I got - they were too high maintenance and too smelly :( I couldn't find a good cage for them and they kept escaping and were almost impossible to find and catch. Too smart!

So I'm sticking to hamsters. Derpy was the best pet ever. When I move house, I'll get one of those pearl winter white ones from that store. Still thinking of names.

They have decorations for every holiday and it's the prettiest cafe I've ever been in. Look at the fairy lights!

Only gripe is that it is in the middle of nowhere.. expect to walk about 500m from Lorong Chuan MRT. ...yas that's a very long walk for me


Second place is Shokutsu10 @ Serangoon NEX.


The mentaiko spaghetti is an absolute must try ;_; Mentaiko sauce (cod roe sauce) is the best sauce ever. I've never had such good spaghetti. I think it's about $15 but it's worth it as a... once in a student life-time thing :D

Desserts at the bakery are affordable. The Mille Feuille (above) was $5.40 which is cheap for a cake of that quality. The strawberry cream stuffed in the sugar glazed pastry was sooo good.!! And I don't usually like strawberry cakes!!

I am not a big fan of ramen but those have got to be the best chashu I've ever tasted :O So tender and juicy. Also the broth is very thick! You can probably tell it tastes very good, from the pictures.
