privilege
I was at the food court.
I heard cans clattering to the floor. I looked up. An elderly janitor was bending down slowly to pick them. Then she struggled to stand upright again. Then she wobbled to the tray clearing station and started doing dishes.
I think I almost cried.
I hate seeing elderly with health problems straining themselves to do menial work for meager pay... I hate it. :(
And I'm also reminded about how privileged I am... I have a college education ffs, even have grad school secured... yet I'm so unhappy not having more. I shouldn't be this ungrateful, but somehow I can't stop myself from being upset.
I guess I'm also sad because the main characters in shows I watch are dying lol. Welcome to fandom, Musho.

I used to feel weird not having someone around me, but now I actually prefer being by myself now.
But I feel so
unsafe omg. I just read about unsolved crimes in Singapore. I always thought Singapore was really safe but this March, there was a sexual assault in West Coast. And I heard of some crimes that happened many years ago, like the unsolved Tiong Bahru murder of the 4 Tan children and two murder-rapes that happened to jogging women. Argh!

lavender lemon shortbread for the second time because the first time turned out so well :) Brought some to school, saw a friend in class and demanded that he eat my food.
Upon saying "food", everybody in class turned around and stared. I only had two cookies left BECAUSE I ATE MOST OF THEM so I gave it to the people who looked the most starving LOL. Their looks of happiness when I gave them cookies! Aah!! I didn't know people would want to eat them. I hope I can bake more for them!!
They also asked me where to get
cheap lavender and I told them: $2.20 for a WHOLE JAR at those chinese dried herbs shops. They sell other flowers too, like chamomile. Who knew you could find such jems in neighbourhood shops? :)

Hair Eclipse at Far East Plaza (with
groupons!). Second time we went there! Both of us were satisfied with the service and the hairstylists were so pleasant and OMG THEY ACTUALLY COMPLIMENTED MY HAIR COLOR instead of insulting it AAA!???

TheRadiodept concert!
The concert was very up close and
personal.
I
was just one metre in front of the lead singer, so I don't have a
picture of all of them in one photo, coz I was too near. It was very
nice to listen to them live even though I wished they brought a
keyboard to play during the concert.
Still, I did win the tickets from
the 99.5FM radio contest so no complaints there.
Free concert to one of your favourite bands is one of the best gifts in life :)
Also
I leaped up the stage and ripped off two setlists, one for lulu and one
for myself. Lots of people came up to us after that to take photo of it
lol. Most daring thing I did for ages!! ^^

Ugh I am so mad at the
eskimo bubble tea place in NUS!!!
Firstly I strongly believe every college deserves
decent bubble tea.
And I was
really happy when eskimo opened.
But let me tell you about my past 3 trips to eskimo.
Trip #1
I ordered 100% sugar bubble tea.
BUT IT TASTED LIKE

I ordered tomato spaghetti with cheese meatballs.
When I received it, it had
no tomato sauce.
I asked for sauce.
All they said was, "
We ran out, there's no sauce for this spaghetti."
DAFUQ??????
NO APOLOGY, REPLACEMENT SAUCE N DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO INFORM ME BEFOREHAND THAT YOU RAN OUT OF SAUCE?
Being a nice person I just paid for and ate the sauceless spaghetti. :(
Trip #3
OKAY THIS ONE IS THE WORST!!!!
I WAS REALLY IN NEED OF PUDDING MILK TEA!!
So I went to eskimo and there was no queue. However, there was a single server making drinks.
I waited at the counter for
TWENTY FUCKING MINUTES!
JUST STANDING THERE, doing random shit with my phone.
Finally, the server girl came up to me.
And I
made my order and paid the $$$.
She said, "
Oh btw, we're out of red tea, so there's just green tea."
I said, "Wait, why didn't you tell me this before making me wait 20 minutes?
"
She replied curtly, "So you want a refund?"
I sighed and said, "Just give me the refund."
Then she turned away and went to take more orders!!
i waited impatiently for my refund for another 5 minutes.
THEN SHE
HANDED ME A DRINK.
I was like
um, i asked for a refund.
She looked at me blankly.
Then she took out money and passed it to me.
No apology AT ALL.
Cheebye!!!!!
After making me wait 25 minutes for nothing, all i get is rudeness and no bubble tea. Wtf!!
Then I tried calling the feedback hotline, which was not available despite the business card saying it was!
I sent it an SMS, and my phone said the person has read it, but guess what? No reply.
I give up.
