YURI ON ICE ARE MY BAES

My Wacom nibs

So I bought a couple of pen nibs from Taobao to try out on my Wacom tablet. I had no idea there were so many kinds, but there you go. Here's my review of each.
  1. Normal nib. Everybody has this. draws smooth, sometimes a little too smooth. But constant and dependable.
  2. Hard felt nib. Supposed to add friction? It is a little too squeaky for my liking. edit: it's actually pretty cool to draw with. it's like drawing with an ultra fine marker on a whiteboard.
  3. Flex nib. MY FAVOURITE FAVOURITE NIB. If you own a tablet, and want to try a new drawing feel, buy this nib. Has a very cushiony, yet firm, feel to it!! I can't go back to anything else. It makes your strokes slightly slower, but in return you feel less slippery and regain control.
  4. Spring nib - Supposed to feel brush like. It's kinda hard to control; you need more pressure than usual cuz of the spring. But I think it'll be nice to paint with, but it's not for lineart.
  5. Gold nib - idk why the fuck I bought this I'm a sucker for packaging lol. it's made of some bullet alloy material. Anyway, this feels like the normal nib but a bit more metallic. I think it'll not wear off as fast as normal nibs.

I love buying new stationery because they get me excited to draw more to test them out!

It's sort of like buying new panties - they make you want to live for a few more days...

This got depressing fast

Liquid lipstick!!
Hair dye to get
I think rainbow hair is a part of my identity now and I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon. At the same time, I'm also a lazy POS so I'm always on the lookout for dyes that last long.

So... other than blue colours, don't get the Directions brand. Get Special Effects. Special Effects was the first brand I used when Rachel (thanks gurl) first introduced me to hair colors 3 years ago. We bought it off Ebay UK.

Blue Violet - Atomic Pink - Octane Orange

Here's a table I made on how long the colors last for each brand. Special Effects are semi-permanent dyes that last MONTHS!

Special Effects
Directions
Pink
2 months
1 week
Purple
1-2 months
3 days
Blue
1-2 months
1-2 months
Orange
4 days
1 day (wtf)

Other than that.. I heard there's something called demi-permanent hairdye that lasts longer than these semi-permanent dyes. Maybe one day I'll give them a try :D

Asian beauty makeup review
Makeup review because I just got some Korean makeup shipped and I'm veryyy excited hehehe. (⌒▽⌒)☆

From left:

Peripera velvet ink in coral
0/5 fucking disaster

Don't get this!! ٩(ఠ益ఠ)۶ It's like disgusting paint that coagulates on the insides of your lips and barely has any colour. I threw it into the trash immediately.

Clio silkuid lip in #02 Cheshire
4.5/5 my new favourite

I always hated lip gloss / liquid lipstick because they felt like sticky candy-flavoured semen on your lips. But now I am conveRT!!! I love this lippy!!

I got the second shade
but it's actually MUCH BRIGHTER

Clio silkuid applies evenly, feels velvety smooth and NOT STICKY, and stays on even after I ate chicken mcnuggets!! It fades into a natural cute red too.

^ This is immediately after applying, no filter

^ This is faded after some time.
Excuse the no makeup fdace thank

My previous fave was Kat Von D in Underage Red, but it always dried out on my lips. Good thing is, it tastes like vanilla chocolate.

My only complaint is the name lah. What kind of name is silkuid?! I know it's like silk liquid but still. SILKUID sounds like squid!!!

Now I am craving salted egg silkuid.

PERIPERA Nose Up Shading
3.5/5 Natural fun contour

I think this is super fun to use!! .:☆*:・'(*⌒―⌒*)))

 The shade is natural!

As for which shade for contour - GET THE DARKER SHADE (second one, called 'edge contour'). I'm light-skinned at NC25, and this already is quite subtle on me. I have heard reviews that say the light shade has no effect.

TBH I'm still not really good at contour so it either make me look weird AF or nothing happened!!! I'm going to work on it because I have a flat face and I hope to add definition to it.

Left (no contour) right (has slight contour)

Don't take these photos as the real effect cuz seriously I think my lighting is just awful. Speaking of contours, I also have

April Skin 4D stick in Diet Bronzer
2.5/5 Hard to aim, hard to blend
The effects are pretty visible, but it is too bulky and it's so hard to aim. Also, the built-in-brush just brushes the contour AWAY!! it doesn't blend it. I resorted to using my ecotools foundation brush to scoop the product.

I think I'm using it in the following selfies:
Lol at that nose shine lmao

Ok I'll review more at a later date!!

food and booty
namecard

awwwyiss

The words are letterpressed :D
I wanted the vintage look.

The paper is so thick like my dick that I can only fit two in my wallet.

my favourite cake place
My favourite cake place is Chateraise at WestGate B2 (inside Isetan). I've been recommending it to my friends. It's very good value for money and the staff are super nice. You can see them decorating the cakes too.

My favourite cake is the legendary cream cake which is a very milky and fluffy strawberry shortcake.

Strawberry bar cake, $4.7

Crispy chocolate cake, $4.7

Chocolate Legendary Cream cake, $5.1

other foods

I also tried out WaaCow inside shaw foundation alumni house in NUS. I really like the flavoured rice and the bowl is very fragrant.

My friends and I have been raving about this Japanese Curry Rice inside Food Republic (Vivocity and Wisma). For only $7, you get amazing curry rice that is big enough for two people!

This is the waffles at Sunday Folks in Holland Village. It's pretty nice. I like the gula melaka ice cream to go along with it. :)

The honey truffle waffles at Butter My Buns in NUS Utown are to die for. It combines the powerful smoky flavour of truffle with crispy waffle drizzled with gooey sweet honey. Super unique. I bought many times :D

eyelash perm and haircut
So after submitting my FYP report I went to treat myself by getting an eyelash perm and haircut!

I got it for $15 at Paris Beauty House at Holland Village. I bought the Groupon from here! Apparently, a lash perm is supposed to last 4 weeks. I think mine will not last so long because my hair is naturally straight.

Curled lashes

Experience
Overall, the experience was pleasant :) I'm always too lazy to curl my lashes and this gives me some incentive to apply mascara which really makes a difference.

Process
First they pasted some glue on my lashes to stick to my eyelids. Then I lay there for 45 minutes listening to nature sounds and I fell asleep. It was painful at first, but later on while waiting for your lashes to perm, it felt very relaxing, like going for a spa.

Staff
I also liked the staff there. They did not push me to do other beauty services, which is SO DAMN RARE OMG. Because of that I'll patronize them whenever I can.

I seriously need to treat myself more often. It felt so good!!

I bought another groupon, this time for a haircut at Hair Atelier at Scotts Rd. I just asked to thin my hair and my hairdresser, Raen, did just that.

Told him i wanted something like this.

I like it. My hair is very light now.

He also blow-dried my hair around a barrel brush which made my hair curl slightly inwards. NOW I WANT A HEATED ROUND STYLING BRUSH *o*

Of course, I am gonna destroy it with bleach and rainbow hair once again LOL. After cutting my hair short a year ago, I don't want to do that again. I want the versatility of my long hair.

brows

Kate brow powder

I combine this with kate brow pencil which I draw around the edges of my brows. I am really into the korean thick straight eyebrows now although my fringe kinda covers 90% of my brows but I super love this!

It makes my brows defined.

As for brow threading, I've always gone to this brow place in Clementi for ~20 times. I forgot the name but it's outside Clementi Mall, has a pink sign and near the Gong Cha. Each session cost me about $4 with the 12-times card and lasts me about a month. I've tried BrowHaus, neighbour hood threading shops, and I always go back to this one. It's good and cheap.

Brows + Lipstick + Eyeliner really change a person's face!

stuff
Like 95% of everything I own is from Taobao now ever since Ezbuy made their shipping so cheap!!

Professional haircutting scissors
since I cut my fringe once a week :)

nekoatsume sweater

Cat leggings

Everything i own is cat themed what the fuck

thank you
thank you!!
Thank you to whoever tagged me... I'm surprised people still read my post.. let alone that whiny post...!!
thank you!!

I'm better now, at least for the art thing. I'm not sure if it was reading all your advice or my embarrassment for finally admitting that I am this competitive, pathetic person that I got over it. I don't judge people's art based on the number of favourites they get, so I will keep in mind not to do it for mine.

Still, I am jealous of people who have work/worry free lives and can draw :(
I just hope I have time to draw soon because now I'm busy jugging my work and clearing my mom's house.

back to doodling on random pieces of paper?
i hopes

I finished these tiny graphics i started three years ago.
adoptables~!!

scalple and vaginaple
I'm breaking out in pimples!!!
I got pimples in places I never kana before, like

maybe god is trying to send me a message
"musho stop touching these parts of your body"

here i shall do
a quick makeup/beauty review

This be the Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pastel Upper Liner in MINT.
I got it for like ~$12 during the Watson's one day Great Singapore Sale.
I really like it~!!!
It even looks really nice with glasses on.
I got a purple one too.

Sadly they are FUCKING HARD TO REMOVE-
Which means they stay very well
but they are the most stubborn eyeliners I have.

I am also wearing Naris Up Wink Up Maxigrade Eyeliner Liquid Water Proof (Brown) and it's my favourite liquid eyeliner. Easy to wear, looks natural and doesn't smudge. Fades a little though but I prefer it to Stila/K-palette. Fucking stila and the fucking watery smudges.

[START OFF TOPIC]
My aim rn is to look as nice as alex vause with glasses

She's a character from Orange is the new black that is my current favourite show right now. I truly recommend this show. The cast is perfect, the actors are amazing, it's kinda like slice of life and looks into the stories of minorities, you know, people who don't really get featured in the media. The character development is intricate.. and you find something to love and hate in every character.

[/END OFF TOPIC]

I'm also using Organia Relaxing Olive Essential Hair Pack as conditioner right now.
The Venus Beauty staff recommended that to me when they didn't have Tsubaki.

It claims to be ~*super natural*~ but the ingredients are in korean and I think that's just marketing.

It has a light texture and does an ok conditioning job.
But the scent is really nice ^^
I think I might have bought it for the scent and packaging. And that it was on offer. Ahhh.

So...
I think I won't be able to clear my mom's house in time so we're gonna shell out another $2700 in rent for another month. I really hope to return it by then.

The state of it brings me close to tears.

The pictures don't do the condition justice...
Cockroach faeces..
Live rats..
Fungus..
Rot..
My boyrfriend and brother have nose infections now.

I can't believe I spent my childhood living like this.
This is what you get when you view trash as treasure and don't throw anything out ever.

I am really considering disowning my mother but then I know she would die.
But I see this and I get so angry :(
I wish I could stop it.
This has to be the last time I do this.
My mother is like max level insane and she has to be treated sooner or later.
I will find a way to make it happen.

You might say
"It's just throwing away things! Can't be that hard."
Not really. We have to go through and look inside every single rubbish for money.
A woman who views trash as treasure stashes money alongside trash.
We found $3000 total hidden inside various garbage, so if we'd just thrown everything mindlessly we would be throwing away large sums of money too.

A wad of $10 notes inside a ramen packet together with other trash.

A few hundred dollars inside the fucking TOILET.

We found all sorts of things.

Pokemon cards

Some person's credit card

A kid's ID card

A sanitary napkin display stand

lastly..
I know I'm not good at replying people,
but I'd never ignore a friend on purpose,
unless they were an asshole.

Right now, I juggle two jobs, am trying to draw again, and have serious family problems.
I can't handle people taking my late replies/absence personally anymore.
I feel guilty, but I can't. I am so stressed out from all these.

At the same time, I can't tell people my problems unless they ask because I don't want to trouble people with my issues.
